Okay, after you have finished the process with great care, get it dub to DV. Do not use FFW etc. The tape is so crispy....
I suggest you to get an extra cassette for "inplant". Now you are physical having two pieces of tapes. Get the first part move to the extra cassette, revolve the tape on the new reels with extreme care, & duplicate to DV. The most difficult part is how to get the leader & the end piece to stick on the reels firmly. Cut adhensive tape into the width of the tape, never exceed its width because it will disturb the rolling speed. Hope you can get it alright. In fact my wedding tapes are facing same problem...but I don't think it's fatal. The best thing has been in your heart already.... [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
